Viva closes Coles Express acquisition

AUSTRALIAN oil refineries company Viva Energy has made a breakthrough to transform its retail business into a convenience and mobility business by acquiring the Coles Express retailing business.

The acquisition puts an end to its Alliance agreement with Coles Group, which was initially planned to expire in 2029. Viva said in an ASX statement today that it had paid Coles $300 million in cash....
