Woodside expected to shut-in Cimatti field

AUSTRALIAN gas giant Woodside Petroleum confirmed to Energy News it is seeking to boost the quality of its Vincent crude production offshore Western Australia to gain a higher price for oil, and take advantage of new requirements around sulphur content in shipping oil.

Woodside is expected to shut-in one of its fields to boost the flash point of Vincent Crude.

 

The company has separately been pursuing its plans to develop LNG as a marine fuel for the same reasons.
