Abandonment of Oliver oil field slated for 2022

THE NATIONAL oil and gas regulator has given PTTEP permission to keep three wells in a state of suspension offshore northern Australia, until a decommissioning program is conducted.

The Oliver oil field lies in the AC/RL12 permit, previously known as AC/P33. Two wells were drilled across the field about a decade ago. 

PTTEP holds a 100% interest in the permit.
