As IMO 2020 low sulphur deadline looms efforts are multiplying 

SHIPPERS are scrambling to reach the International Maritime Organisation’s 2020 regulations on sulphur emissions that will see levels drop from 3.5% to 0.5%, with tanker company International Seaways signing up for scrubbers and The Netherlands’ Vopak increasing its storage capacity for low sulphur gasoil  in Singapore this week.

International Seaways has signed up Norway's Clean Marine to put exhaust gas cleaning systems on seven of its Very Large Container Carriers, and may add the remaining three to the list.
