Iran's energy opportunities

IRAN'S transformation from international pariah state to a key cog in the energy supply machinery continues, with its oil production returning to pre-sanction levels and gas becoming a major focus for expansion, with a move first into LNG exports then revitalising its aging oil fields.

Iran holds some of the world's largest gas resources yet produces about 735 million cubic metres per day of raw gas, but that is almost completely absorbed by its domestic gas market.
