The Bracken Ridge State High School commissioned Hivve Technologies to develop three new portable classrooms in collaboration with Tesla, which uses rooftop solar and a Tesla Powerwall battery system to provide renewable power to the classrooms while remaining entirely off the grid.

Each classroom has the ability to generate enough electricity to power itself as well as a minimum of two other classrooms in each school with excess power to be stored in a connected battery.

The prototype received A$370,000 from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency and has been designed to open the door for more Australian school to make the switch to clean energy.
