Wind exceeds gas generation in the NEM for the first time

WIND energy output in the National Electricity Market (NEM) exceeded gas-fired generation output in 2020 for the first time in the network’s history, according to a new report by the Australian Energy Regulator, highlighting the massive transformation underway in the grid.
