OMV gets more time for NZ leases

OPERATOR OMV and its Great South Basin partners are more relaxed after winning some serious work program changes from the New Zealand government's Crown Minerals Group.

When awarded the three leases - PEP 50119, PEP 50120 and PEP 50121 - in July 2007, OMV was obliged to make a "drill or drop" decision by July 2010 in each of the licences.
