Eve takes top job at Apache Australia

After more than six years as Business Development Manager and Deputy Managing Director of Apache Energy Ltd, Eve Howell has been promoted to Regional Vice President and Managing Director.

Jim Bass, who currently holds that post, will become Regional Vice President – Gulf Coast Exploration in Houston.

Following 14 years in government geoscience and the petroleum industry in the UK, Eve moved in 1981 to Australia with Exploration Consultants Limited.

In the eighties she also worked for Australian Occidental and Bond Petroleum in geoscientific roles and was promoted to Exploration Manager in 1987.

In 1990, she joined Hadson Energy Ltd as Exploration Manager and continued in that role following the 1993 acquisition of Hadson by Apache.

She was promoted to her previous role with Apache in 1997 where her responsibilities included acquisitions, gas and oil marketing, health, safety and environment and strategic planning.

Eve is a Past President of the Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists, a Member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and a Board Member of the Australian Petroleum Co-operative Research Centre.
