Terry Griffiths, society chairman, said "Subsea to Beach" covers several technology challenges associated with transporting gas and liquids over long distances from remote subsea production wells.

“As such, Subsea to Beach covers a multitude of subsea technology topics," Griffiths said.

"Some examples are flow assurance, subsea processing, pumping/compression, metering and long distant controls."

Presentations will be made by Simon Bingham (Apache), Kevin Mullen (Intec) and Drew Peoples (ChevronTexaco), and the event will be chaired by Rob Parker (DOIR) on Wednesday 13 Apr, 5.30pm for a 6.00pm start.

The cost is $10 for members and $30 for non-members, with the venue tentatively being the Emerald Hotel (further details to follow later).
