Strike undeterred by Texan duster

The well spudded on June 30, Texas time and reached a total depth of 4,053 metres on August 29. Strike had a working interest of 10% in Jabber et al-1.

Strike Oil’s next planned well is on the Mesquite Prospect in Jackson County, Texas as part of an ongoing exploration program with operator Cypress E&P Corporation.

Strike will be funding 35% of the cost of this well to earn a 26.25% working interest in the prospect. The well is programmed for the fourth of quarter this year.

“Participation in further wells in Texas is anticipated before the end of this year and more information will be provided when a drilling rig schedule is confirmed,” the company said.
