Perth software supplier wins major Petronas contract

PERTH-headquartered resources sector software developer ISS Group says its Asian office has won a...

The contract with the Malaysian national oil company is worth about $A4 million, excluding maintenance and support services, ISS said.

Group managing director Shane Attwell said this was the single largest contract won by the ISS Group, and the profile of its BabelFish products was steadily growing.

BabelFish provides the backbone for all of the company's solutions.

"BabelFish is a framework that enables our clients to integrate data from their operational systems, field equipment and management applications," ISS said.

"This data is then logically grouped and displayed graphically in a way that mirrors the organisation's exact real-time operational environment."

This creates a platform from which operational staff and management can view the information and make informed decisions on plant operations in real-time.

ISS has previously won contracts with Shell, Saudi Aramco, BP Indonesia and BG International.
