Results of wireline logging, modular dynamic pressure testing and sampling indicate the sidetrack intersected an 85m gross gas column with 18% net gas pay and a 15m gross oil column with 67% net oil pay.

Roc said fluid contacts were as expected and the well is interpreted to be in contact with the original Banda-1 discovery well drilled in 2002.

Banda NW ST-1 was drilled due to uncertainty over the location of fluid contacts at Banda NW-1.

The company is planning to start the planned well intervention work on the Chinguetti Field, once the Atwood Hunter drilling rig has moved from Banda NW ST-1.

Roc has a 3.69% stake in the PSC Area B; PC Mauritania is operator with 53.84%, Tullow Oil 21.6%, and Mauritania Holdings BV 11.63%.
