Ichthys to NT? It's BANANAs

AN ANONYMOUS PNN reader who calls himself an investor in resource stocks reckons that Friday's ar...

A victory for the "BANANAS"- a more evolved form of the "Nimby"!

We all know what a "Nimby" is. But what is a "BANANA" I hear you say?

A more virulent green species evolved in California with the mantra: "Build Absolutely Nothing Anywhere Near Anyone."

The WA government having chosen the California "Santa Barbara" solution, at least we will have the benefit of a pristine environment at the islands, should anyone ever visit them in the future.

I believe that Sir Charles Court would be turning over in his grave!

Perhaps a blessing in disguise for WA as WA cannot provide enough skilled tradesmen for the projects in the resources sector already on the books.

Also Perth Airport would collapse under the pressure of another thousand or so FIFO contractors personnel, not to mention the increased pressure on housing and infrastructure in Perth!

A resources investor

Dear Editor,

It is an absolute disgrace that International Companies can play one state against another (territory) in the rush for WA's resources.

What's next? pipe Australian gas to PNG because of low taxes...?

In todays energy hungry times, it is also time the WA Government streamlined the approvals processes.
