SANTOS has increased its foothold in Asia, signing a deal to purchase a further stake in Block 16 in Bangladesh's offshore Sangu field from Cairn Energy for an undisclosed amount.
Santos will take Cairn's 37.5% interest in the producing area of Block 16 (Sangu) and 100% of the exploration area in the permit.
