CHEVRON has cut the annual bonuses of chief executive officer John Watson and several other top executives in the wake of a series of high-profile safety failures over the past year.
Watson received a 13% cut to his benefits, taking his 2012 figure down to $3.48 million ($A3.32 million) from $4 million in 2011.
