SBM and MSTS/Falck lauded

WORKFORCE development and safety body OPITO has announced the winners of its Global Safety Awards...

Global floating production and mooring systems provider SBM was named Employer of the Year while MSTS/Falck Safety Services Malaysia took out the Training Provider of the year.

The awards recognise companies that best demonstrate their commitment to meeting OPITO's standards in building a safe and competent work force.

SBM was chosen for its adoption of OPITO principles with a majority if its 1700 offshore personnel trained to the body's survival standards.

MSTS/Falck Safety Services Malaysia used train the trainer and OPITO competency assessor courses as part of its induction program.
