Electrical and instrumentation contractor Totus will take on a third party license with Weidmuller to assemble and supply Hazardous Area junction boxes to the local market.

Totus managing director Stuart Bell said the agreement complimented the company's existing electrical and instrumentation division as well as its Ex inspection division, allowing a more comprehensive service to the region.

"With this agreement in place, we look forward to growing our relationship with Weidmuller as well as further serving our growing customer base in Abu Dhabi."

The deal comes after Totus moved into new premises earlier this year, allowing for increased staff and an expansion to include Ex electrical inspections and an Ex materials division.
