ENTRIES close soon for the autonomous robot for gas and oil sites challenge – a competition funded by French supermajor Total SA to produce the industry's first fully automated robot for routine or dangerous onshore production tasks.
The competition is open to "industry and researchers worldwide" although there is a recommendation that teams comprise both academic and industrial partners.
