Della Mattea has more than 18 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, oil and gas and port infrastructure projects.
His most recent experience includes the development of port infrastructure for a major LNG project in Gladstone.
BMT JFA's Brisbane office will be collocated with BMT WBM to build to allow the company to respond more efficiently to growing east coast business requests.
Last year, there was demand for additional design works and studies to help with overall port redevelopment plans.
The Perth office will combine BMT's ports and harbours and machinery consultancy expertise into a single location in Perth and bring BMT JFA and BMT WBM into the same office.
Specialist ports and harbours cartographic consultancy BebbCart will also be collocated in the Perth office.
BMT JFA Consultants managing director Tim Green said demand for the company's services had historically been focused specifically on dredging consultancy.
He said the company was starting to see an increased drive in demand, both locally and more widely in the Asia Pacific region, towards integrated consultancy services from concept through to implementation planning, infrastructure design, ports operations optimisation and dredging reclamation and maintenance services.
