Shell spices up Gulf with Cardamom

Shell has brought its second major deep-water facility online this year in the Gulf of Mexico, with first oil at the Cardamom subsea development following the February start-up of Mars B (Shell 71.5%) in February.

Cardamom oil is piped through Shell's Auger platform, and when Cardamom is at full production of 50,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, this will lift Auger's total production capacity to 130,000boepd....
