Oil spill hits Montana drinking water

AN OIL spill has occurred in the Yellowstone River in Montana, polluting drinking supplies and forcing the Montana city of Glendive to bring in truckloads of drinking water.

The leak is estimated at up to 1200 barrels of oil, which was lost from from a 12-inch steel pipe about 8km upstream from Glendive over the course of an hour. Preliminary tests of the city's water treatment...
