DEVELOPMENT of the Ibhubesi gas field, South Africa's largest undeveloped gas accumulation, now appears certain with Perth-based junior Sunbird Energy signing Africa's largest power generator, Eskom, on the dotted line to supply the 1350 megawatt Ankerlig power station.
Sunbird's Andrew Leibovitch said the signing of the terms sheet was the most significant milestone for the field since the junior secured it from its former owners in late 2012.
