'Oils ain't oils': man fined over fuel substitution

A Sydney businessman who bought excise-free petroleum solvents and resold them to transport companies for use as truck fuel has been fined $7.

5 million for his misdemeanours. Mr Jim Skouloudis and his company, JMS Solvents, were convicted of a total of 139 charges relating to fuel substitution. This is a big victory for the Tax Office for an excise evasion case.
