CHC wins Timor Sea helicopter contract

The Australian subsidiary of CHC Helicopter Corporation has won a $C34.5 million offshore transport contract from Phillips Petroleum. The contract, which commences in March of this year and will run for 34 months, is for the provision of two dedicated Super Puma AS332 helicopters.

The aircraft are to be based in Baucan, East Timor and will be used ostensibly to support the development phase of the Bayu-Undan Gas Recycle Project in the Timor Sea.

CHC Helicopter Corporation is a well known supplier of helicopter services to the oil and gas industry. Its fleet comprises of 324 aircraft operating in 21 countries supported by 2400 employees.
