Big flows continue at Callawonga

CALLAWONGA partners Beach Petroleum and Cooper Energy say the latest appraisal well at the Cooper...

The major flow at Callawonga-3, which was achieved through a 2-inch line at 200psi, is an improvement on the 5000-bopd result at Callawonga-2 last month.

Beach as operator said it would tie the well into the Callawonga oil field facilities and put it into production later this month.

Callawonga-3 is the second in a three-well appraisal-development drilling program to develop the Callawonga oil field.

The development wells are targeting the Namur reservoir that is being produced from the Callawonga-1 discovery well.

The rig is being moved to the Callawonga-4 well location, which is expected to spud next week.
