Tap well placed for Thai acquisition

TAP Oil has raised $57 million to help fund the acquisition of a majority stake in Thailand-focused Northern Gulf Petroleum despite the retail component of its entitlement offer falling short.

Last month, the company raised $37 million from the institutional component of the $69 million one-for-two entitlement offer and $13 million from a placement.
