AFTER neglecting its obligations to decommission a major oil field in New Zealand, Tamarind Resources has contracted a UK-based service provider to carry out operations and maintenance at its newly acquired venture in the Philippines.

Tamarind Resources, via its subsidiary Tamarind Taranaki, owed hundreds of millions of dollars to contractors and creditors and left the New Zealand government to decommission the Tui Oil Field
