DEEPWATER oil and gas production is set to increase by over 60% between 2022 and 2030, growing from 6% to 8% of overall upstream production, according to a new Wood Mackenzie report.
Ultra-deepwater production, from depths of 5,000 feet and more is growing the fastest, the report says, and will account for more than half of all deep-water production.
On average, green hydrogen production costs will equal fossil fuel-based hydrogen by 2040.
