THE Australian Competition and Consumer Commission forecasts a 30 petajoule gas shortfall to the east coast domestic market this year, a significant improvement on the previous 52 PJ supply gap forecast in June.
In its latest report, the competition watchdog said unless LNG exporters kept uncontracted gas in the country, southern states would experience a supply gap of 12%.
