Kuwait looks to West to fast-track North Oil Fields

The Kuwaiti government has announced it will speed up development of the countrys North Oil Field...

Speaking at a National Assembly discussion Kuwaiti Energy Minister Sheikh Ahmad al-Fahd al-Sabah said, “Kuwait is in dire need for developing its North Oil Fields for technical and economic reasons.”

“The fields currently produce some 420,000 barrels per day (bpd), but its strategic objective is to increase that to 900,000 bpd, which requires help from foreign oil companies,” added Sheikh Ahmad.
