It said an all weather road has been built into the Surat Basin field in ATP 608P and the pad for the beam pump has been poured.
“Approval to conduct extended production testing has been granted by the Queensland Government. Oil production from Rookwood will be tankered to the refinery on a daily basis. It is anticipated that construction work to complete the facility and bring it into production will be completed by the end of next week,” said a company statement.
A drill stem test in September flowed oil at an equivalent rate to 352 barrels of oil per day.
Interests in the Rookwood development are: Oilex NL 59.06%, Victoria Petroleum NL 29.69%, Private Interests 11.25%.
