Tipton West gets pipeline licence

THE Tipton West coal-bed methane project in the Surat Basin has been awarded a petroleum pipeline licence allowing the construction of 147 km of pipeline connecting the field with customers at Oakey, Dalby and Kogan. The first sales gas is scheduled for January 2006.

Tipton West gets pipeline licence

Arrow Energy has purchased 50 acres of land at Dalby for siting power generation facilities that will be fuelled with gas from the Tipton West field. A letter of intent has been signed with Country Energy for the sale of electricity.

The Tipton West field has been independently certified as having 1,086 PJ of gas, making it potentially one of Australia’s largest onshore gas fields in Australia.

Interests in Tipton West are Arrow Energy 80% and Comet Ridge 20%.
