After several months trying to heal the rifts created by the Moomba gas plant fire Santos seems to be in the headlines for the wrong reasons again. Concerns are being raised over the evacuation procedures of the Ocean Epoch drilling rig after claims from employees that Santos and rig owner Diamond Offshore continued drilling operations last week instead of shutting down when Cyclone Monty recently swept through the Carnarvon Basin.

The claims made by angry rig workers say the companies did not follow their own safety procedures for working in cyclonic conditions. Sticking in the west, bad news continues to track the Burrup Peninsula...
