The takeover battle for Novus Petroleum seems to headed for a result after the revised bid from Bob William’s Sunov vehicle - formed to counter the hostile bid from Indonesia’s Medco - was accepted by the independent directors of Novus. Williams floated Novus in the early 90’s. Game, set and match if Medco doesn’t raise its offer.
