Griffith Uni academic suggests NT shale fatal for Oz climate commitments

GRIFFITH University’s Emeritus Professor Ian Lowe’s paper on a fully ramped Northern Territory shale industry suggests it could contribute some 600 million tonnes of CO2 year, but only when based on a production rate of 11 trillion cubic feet a year which most industry professionals believe is far out of reach.
