US president Donald Trump’s trip to India was supposedly a trade-focussed one to expand ties and settle some of the US$25.2 billion trade imbalance between the two, with the potential for LNG exports a key focus, but outside signing one $3 billion military equipment sales agreement there was not much beyond the more promise of cooperation.
