JAPAN’s LNG spot price hit its lowest recorded point last month according to its government, with the average contract price for spot LNG cargoes falling to US$3.40 per million British thermal units, as COVID-19 and the oil price dive continue to reverberate across the global economy.

No sign of LNG supply slowdown, yet

It is the lowest recorded price since Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry started publishing data in 2014, and down from $5.90/MMBtu in January.
