Ensign drilling hit by oil crash but Aussie work a beacon of hope

OIL AND GAS drilling contractor Ensign Energy Services posted a $US$17.1 million net loss in the second quarter, due to the fall-out from the oil price crash and COVID-19 pandemic.

The loss came as revenue for the first half fell by nearly 50% year-on-year. Revenue for the second quarter was $194.8 million, down from $377.5 million in the corresponding period of 2019.
