WHILE the federal government gave Santos the environmental green tick to proceed with its controversial A$3.6 billion Narrabri CSG project in New South Wales, the viability of the project is still far from certain, according to energy and market analysts, and even a former prime minister.
Santos has yet to make a final investment decision on the project, saying yesterday they would begin a 12-18-month appraisal program for the next phase of project development.
