AUSTRALIA’S growing appetite for distributed energy resources, such as rooftop solar installations, wind generation units, battery storage and open and closed cycle gas turbines, is putting pressure on the energy industry, and power networks need to adjust to the decentralisation of power systems, according to the Australian Energy Market Commission.
