Cape provides maintenance for later cycle production assets, providing access systems, insulation, refractory linings, painting, coating blasting, industrial cleaning, training and assessment.

The company has been working with Oil Search in PNG for the last two years, supporting the PNG giant's onshore assets and facilities.

The newest contract will be for seven months, finishing by the end of the year.

"Securing this contract is a major achievement, which highlights our client's satisfaction with the services we have provided them to date and also signifies our long-term goals to further expand our ongoing operations in PNG," Cape regional director Mike Harding said.

"We look forward to working closely with Oil Search on this contract and supporting them in continuing to deliver our services on time and safely."

Oil Search operates all of PNG's producing fields.
