ExxonMobil unveils method behind PNG play

EXXONMOBIL has revealed that it outbid Oil Search for Papua New Guinea player InterOil to increase its LNG exposure because it believes demand will triple by 2040 and that brownfield expansion of its PNG LNG facility will likely be one of the world's most economic projects.

The supermajor is more interested in the long game in the LNG market though it is facing a deeper and longer-lasting glut than oil.
