China and Brunei to collaborate on oil and gas exploration in South China Sea

CHINA and the South China Sea’s smallest sovereignty claimant Brunei have agreed on joint oil and gas exploration even as the area’s other claimants – Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, the Philippines and Vietnam – push back on China’s plans for a binding code of conduct in the area that could seriously affect oil and gas exploration.
