HUMAN rights group, Global Witness has accused ExxonMobil of exploiting the people of Guyana, after an investigation it conducted found the small South American country will be short-changed US$55 billion from its Stabroek license.

Negotiations unfair for impoverished but oil-rich county

 
Last month, Exxon revised up its recoverable resources estimate to more than 8 billion barrels of oil equivalent, based on its discovery in its 6.6 million acre deepwater Stabroek block.
