FOLLOWING the commissioning of fourth train at the North West Shelf during September, BHP Billiton achieved record quarterly natural gas production of 87.4 billion cubic feet - a 13% jump from the 77.6 bcf produced in the December 2003 quarter.

But total petroleum products production was down – 3% lower than the December 2003 quarter – mainly because of natural field decline.
