ANZON AUSTRALIA LTD: Commonwealth Bank of Australia and its subsidiaries became a substantial shareholder on March 28 with a voting power of 5.63%.

Andrew Young acquired 26,330 ordinary shares at $1.13 per share, 13,158 ordinary shares at $1.14 per share on October 10, 2005 in on market trades and on November 28, 2005, acquired 19,040 ordinary shares at $1.05 per share pursuant to a share purchase plan. He now holds, directly, a total of 3,000,000 options and indirectly he holds 100,588 shares.

ANTARES ENERGY LTD: Howard McLaughlin and James Cruickshank acquired ordinary shares for nil consideration following the vesting of performance rights on April 4. McLaughlin acquired 25,000 shares following the vesting of 25,000 performances rights and 225,000 lapsed. Following the vesting he now holds directly, a total of 452,000 ordinary fully paid shares, 1,500,000 options exercisable at $1.35 by July 1, 2007, 24,060 $2 convertible notes maturing on October 30, 2013 and 750,000 performance rights. Cruickshank acquired 15,000 shares following the vesting of performance rights and 135,000 lapsed. He now holds a total, direct, of 5,850,000 ordinary fully paid shares and 450,000 performance rights.

ARROW ENERGY NL: Robert Day, William Stubbs and Nicholas Davies acquired securities pursuant to share purchase plan offer on April 3. Day acquired 25,860 ordinary shares for $14,998.80 taking is total holding to 622,715 ordinary shares directly held, 497,294 ordinary shares and 9,726 convertible notes, 25,763 ordinary shares and 750 convertible notes held indirectly. Stubbs acquired 8,620 ordinary shares for $4,999.80 taking his total holding to 617,192 ordinary shares held directly, 525,715 ordinary shares and 35,715 ordinary shares held indirectly. Davies acquired 8,620 ordinary shares for $4,999.60 taking his total holding, direct, to 2,951,516 ordinary shares. He holds the following unlisted options which have already vested: 666,666 June 28, 2008 29 cent options, 666,666 June 28, 2008 39 cent options, 741,734 June 28. 2008 49 cent options... The following unlisted options have yet to vest: 250,000 June 28, 2008 50 cent options – vesting date March 31 2006, 333,333 June 28, 2008 29 cent options – vesting date June 1, 2006, 333,333 June 28, 2008 39 cent options – vesting date June 1, 2006, 333,333 June 28, 2008 49 cent options – vesting date June 1, 2006, 250,000 June 28, 2008 50 cent options – vesting date March 31, 2007 and 100,000 June 28, 2008 80 cent options – vesting date December 31, 2006.

Dr Alexander Elkington acquired 250,000 ordinary shares for $145,000 in April 3 following an issue of securities to a director as approved by shareholders at a general meeting. Following this issue, he now holds, directly, 250,000 ordinary shares and 250,000 ordinary shares.

Stephen Bizzell acquired 534,480 ordinary shares for $309.998.40 on April 3 following an issue of securities pursuant to a placement approved by shareholders at a general meeting (500,000 shares) and issue of securities to various entities participating in share purchase plan offer (34,480 shares). Following these issues, he now holds, indirectly, 7,310,904 ordinary shares and 1,030,489 ordinary shares

AUSTRALIAN GAS LIGHT COMPANY: Alinta funds Management Ltd in its capacity as responsible entity of the Alinta Infrastructure became a substantial shareholder with a voting power of 19.939% on March 31.

BABCOCK & BROWN WIND PARTNERS LTD: Gandhara Master Fund Ltd increased its substantial shareholding to 9.57% on April 3.

BEACH PETROLEUM LTD: Robert Kennedy, John Butler, Franco Moretti, Michael Frost and Reginald Nelson converted June 2006 bonus options to fully paid ordinary shares at 60 cents on March 31. Following these conversions, Kennedy now holds, direct and indirect, 406,501 fully paid ordinary shares, 633,462 fully paid ordinary shares and 75,109 fully paid ordinary shares. Butler now holds a total of 88,226 fully paid ordinary shares. Moretti’s total indirect holding now stands at 17,297 fully paid ordinary shares and 84,179 fully paid ordinary shares. Michael Frost now has a total holding, direct, of 130,548 fully paid ordinary shares. Frost now holds an indirect total of 275,990 fully paid ordinary shares and a direct total of 1,709,769 fully paid ordinary shares.

BHP BILLITON PLC: As at March 28, Barclays Plc no longer has a notifiable interest in the company.

BOW ENERGY LTD: Ron Prefontaine acquired 20,000 ordinary shares for $2,800 in on market trade on April 3, taking his total holding, direct and indirect, to 5,035,606 ordinary shares and 428,566 options exercisable at $0.20 expiring March 31, 2008.

CALTEX AUSTRALIA LTD: David Reeves disposed of 5,000 ordinary fully paid shares at $19.87 per share in on market trade on March 24. Following this transaction, he has no further holdings in the company.

CARBON MINERALS NL: Bun Kiem Lee, who was appointed as an alternate director on April 5, has a direct interest in 10,000 ordinary securities.

EAGLE BAY RESOURCES NL: Anthony Rechner, John Roy and James Craib each acquired 1,000,000 options to acquire ordinary shares at 15 cents expiring June 30, 2010 for nil consideration pursuant to shareholders meeting of March 31, 2006. Following this issue Rechner now holds a total, direct, of 9,089,702 ordinary shares and 1,000,000 June 30, 2010 options. Roy now holds, direct, 1,000,000 June 30, 2010 options while Craib now holds 1,146,700 ordinary shares and 1,000,000 June 30, 2010 options.

ELK PETROLEUM LTD: Tim Flavel ceased to be a substantial shareholder on April 4.

MAGELLAN PETROLEUM AUSTRALIA LTD: Magellan Petroleum Corporation increased its substantial shareholding to 76.15% on April 3.

PETRATHERM LTD: Richard Bonython acquired 46,960 ordinary shares for $12,829.67 on April 3 and a further 3,040 ordinary shares for $829.83 on April 4 in on market trade. Following these transactions, he now holds, directly, a total of 20,000 ordinary fully paid shares and 500,000 unquoted options exercisable at $0.20 expiring April 4, 2009. Indirectly, he holds 17,500,001 unquoted ordinary fully paid shares, 5,000,000 unquoted options exercisable at $0.20 expiring March 24, 2009 and 400,000 ordinary fully paid shares.
