Greenback pushes oil back above $US70

A WEAKER US dollar and comments by top exporter Saudi Arabia that the economy was rebounding has sent the oil price back above $US70 a barrel.

New York’s Western Texas Intermediate shot up to $US71.55 a barrel last night as the US currency fell to a one-year low against the euro.
