Exclusive: Stag sold for $50M, offer 'baseline'

MALAYSIAN outfit Sona Petroleum has agreed to buy the Stag oilfield from operator Quadrant Energy and partner Santos – but Energy News understands that figure could go up from a $US50 million ($A70.05 million) offer as negotiations progress.

While Energy News can confirm Quadrant that made an offer, believed to be worth $1.5 billion, for Santos' WA assets last week did not include Santos' interest in Stag.
