The company behind Pakistan's newest oil refinery, Bosicor Refinery Ltd, has announced that it has begun commercial production.

The Bosicor refinery, which has a production capacity of around 30,000 barrels a day, will initially only refine 22,000-25,000 barrels of crude oil and intends to sell most of its products in the Pakistan market. However, the company will export all the naphtha that it refines.

Bosicor Refinery said it had entered into a 10-year contract with the state-run oil giant Pakistan State Oil for the sale of its refined products.
